Here in Franklin we have a thriving bowling program that is currently comprised of 3 teams at the high school level: Boys Varsity, Girls Varsity, and Junior Varsity, as well as a Bowling Club at Forest Park Middle School. Bowling gives students an opportunity to become involved with their schools, teaches fundamentals for a lifetime sport and helps athletes earn scholarships and bowl in college. Our bowling coaches are:
FHS Boys Varsity: Steve Spott and Christie Wiessmann
FHS Girls Varsity: Tammy Bresette & Gina Hurst
FHS Junior Varsity:

Practice
FHS practice starts Tuesday, November 4. Practices will be held every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 3:30pm to 5:00pm. We will let you know if that changes. There is a school bus route that bowlers can use to get to Root River for tryouts and practices as well. If the bowler does not have a bowling ball and shoes, shoe rentals at Root River are provided at no cost. Lane balls are also available. Proper fitting bowling balls and shoes do help a bowler improve. If you are thinking of purchasing bowling equipment you might want to wait until after the tryouts. If you have questions please ask a coach.
